"It kept me up nights, it drew me to it during the days, I could not "put it
down".

"There were 3 techniques that I used to great effect as I read them. First was the "listen to your inner voice" to find the message it gives you all the time. When I did this, I was astounded, for I had imagined myself a positive person (I am a hypno-therapist, and a NLP practitioner). I was very surprised, to say the least, to find my inner voice VERY negative. That is on it's way out, you can be sure of that! If I must be a slave to habit, let it be good habit (Og Mandino).

"The second was the breathing in and out technique to rid myself of negative influence from my mother. I was very hesitant to breath in negativness, knowing something of the effects that could come from that. However, my faith, derived from the ethics exibited by Boris and Nikola to that point, I did the exercise. It worked MAGNIFICIENTLY! Those memories have no power any longer.

"Third, I did the exercise about what I truely want to do with my life. I will be 60 next February, retired after 35 years as a machine builder 2 years ago, and have not fulfilled my destiny at this time. I went through my NLP training 11 years ago with the idea to use it to do a business that did not pan out. However, I have used some of the abilities I gained to the advantage of other people, and that exercise showed me that is where my interest lies.

"Whenever I close my eyes, I see myself in that position. Thank you, God, for giving me an understanding wife. I will start the process of finishing my schooling to get my doctorate, and begin practicing again very soon. I know that's not a concrete start date, which it should be. However, there are a couple ot things that need to be attended to first.

"I am carrying on, aren't I?

"Anyhow, I did not intend to write a book.

"Let me say that the part on miracles was the most impactful. My belief in this is that God made us for success, with many abilities most of us have little knowledge of, and even less belief. I intend to be one of the ones to assist in changing that.

"I realize you're tremendously busy -- yet I feel an impulse to connect with you. I'm Hungarian-born (I assume you are Slovenian!) and was a WW II refugee. I've lived in the U.S. a very long time, have an academic / literary education, & worked as technical writer / editor in Information Technology for many years. However, my primary passion in reading & writing has always been Self-help / Personal Development / Transpersonal Psychology.

"As of last Dec. I started my own publishing company named QUINTELLIGENCE MEDIA, Inc. The name is a combination of "Quintessence" (as in the alchemical meaning, and/or the "Fifth Element") and of course "Intelligence". My first project is my own short, illustrated inspirational book entitled "How to Use the Pieces of a Broken Heart: Recipes for Rebirth". The text is about 3/4 finished, the art about 1/4. I also have a whole list of associated products (beyond books!) planned.

"I basically started my company with little or no money. I've had a terrific financial struggle the last 10 - 12 months (when my last tech writing contract ended). It will take a while for me to read the entire book
because I am very busy.

However when I read the index I saw an article Reverse engineering (page 402). I immediately read it and it means a lot to me. Now I understand myself better. I understand why I don't stay focussed and start to become negative. I read it a few times to understand it better and if you have more info on the subject or know of somebody who wrote about this subject I would like to know because it is a very important subject. I read a lot of selfhelp books but I never heard of reverse engineering before!
